Prom.. Graduation... and broken bones

My girls recently attended a homeschool prom. It was a small affair, about 30 kids, but they had a good time I think. The looked absolutely lovely..

My beautiful daughters - Jessica (15 years old) and Rebecca (17)

They had several friends in attendance, so even though my older daughter's boyfriend was unable to attend, she had a lot of fun. It was a "Wonderland" themed event..  and the decorations and food were absolutely perfect.

My granddaughter Raylen graduated from Kindergarten this past week...  She is growing up WAY too fast!!!

My daughter Rebecca will have her graduation celebration this next Sunday. She has finished all her schoolwork, and so she is graduating a year early.. She will be 17 this week, and is looking forward to being a full time college student! She's also working part time at Sonic as a car hop, volunteering for one of our major hospitals, and also volunteering for "Concert in the Gardens" this summer..  Add to that a boyfriend, Six Flags, and her other friends, She's a busy girl.

I fell two weeks ago today, literally out of a chair.. (silly accident.. I went one way, the desk chair rolled the other, I fell) Broke my collarbone, and fractured my wrist. I guess my old bones are beginning to get brittle..
I have been off work the past 2 weeks, and will be for at least one more till I am better able to function. As it is, I can sit at the computer for short bursts.. but then the pain hits and I have to lay down and take something for the pain.  And since my job requires I sit at the computer and on the phone 8 hours a day, I just am not up to that yet.  So our budget has flown out the window, we have to regroup and replan.. Hard to do right now with birthdays, graduations, etc in our face, but it's what happens when life smacks you in the face..  (or in my case shoulder!)
So that's been life the last 2 weeks or so. Excitement is always just around the corner here.

Will end this with a verse that has been on my mind a lot lately..

Philippians 4:6-8
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, shall guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, let your mind dwell on these things.
