Introducing the Family

I write about them all the time, occasionally include a photo of activities, but I decided to "introduce" you to our family.

First up is our youngest daughter - Jessica, Jessie, Jessie-pie, Doodle-bug, ... She answers to a lot of names. Jess is extremely creative, talented, artistic, just totally amazing to me. She is 11 1/2 right now, and growing up quite quickly on us.

Then we come to Rebecca, (Becca, BooBoo, BeccaBoo, Boo-Bear - we do like nicknames here!) She is 13, going on 25. Rebecca is brilliant. She learns quickly, soaks EVERYTHING up. Her favorite Authors are Jane Austen, JRR Tolkein, CS Lewis, JK Rowling, and of late Stephenie Meyers. She has plans to be a Pediatric Orthopedic Surgeon when she is grown, and have a home in Hawaii, and Colorado, so she can surf at one home, and snow ski at the other. (I told her I would live in her Hawaii house and take care of it while she spends time in Colorado - and her dad would LOVE Colorado, lol)

Michael is 21, he was homeschooled from fourth grade to graduation. He attended the local Community College for a year and a half, then dropped out to pursue "life". He had moved out when he was 19, but moved back in shortly after his 21st birthday. He is interested in lots of things, knows a lot about many different things, but has no solid aspirations for his life just yet.
Steven is our oldest child, he is 28. He has been married for 6 1/2 years. He is a great daddy to my granddaughter and just turned out to be such a wonderful man, I am very proud of him. He works as a Systems Administrator for a medium sized company. Did I say I was really proud of him? He's smart, talented, and definitely knows computers!!!

Brooke is our daughter in law. She is a Merchandising Manager for Barnes and Noble. She is creative, and smart, and a terrific mommy to our baby Ray.

Raylen is our granddaughter. She was 2 in July, and we just love to spoil her rotten!! The girls and I have her a few days a week. She is very smart, can count already, is learning her ABC's, and just amazes us all the time with her antics. One of her favorite words is "Amazing". She talks in sentences, and we really understand her most of the time.
My wonderful husband is Daryl. We met when his sister and i were friends in Jr High, but didn't start dating for another year and half. I was 15 when we began dating, he was 17. He is a really spectacular dad to all the kids, an outstanding Papa to Raylen, and just the best husband in the world. He is a Planner/Scheduler, for a company that makes Oil Well tools, (Gas wells also - which has been great for business here in North Texas!)

We have a few pets also -

Jill was originally Michael's dog, she is about 10 years old now.

Cordi is Rebecca's cockatiel, she is beautiful, she likes me, and Becca, and she LOVES to chatter her head off. She is about 4 1/2 years old.
We also have cats -
Tom is Jessica's cat. she got him when she was 2, and he is VERY attached to her.

Sunny (or Sunshine which is his actual name) is supposed to be "my" cat, but he loves Daryl the best -

and Rebecca's loony cat Sophie
To round out the pets I don't have photos of, but we have fish, hermit crabs and 2 guinea pigs.
Well, that's the family :)
Now you have "faces to go with the blogs!

Looking at your grown boys remind me that mine will be there all to soon. It makes my heart break and swell all at the same time!

Thank you so much for the compliment you paid me on my blog yesterday. It's certainly one of the sweetest compliments I've ever been given.
