Rebecca's 13th birthday party was great! She had SUCH a good time, and when the evening was done, she said over and over, it was her BEST party ever :) !! I think the friends that attended made it so special for her, and I am so grateful to the moms aand dads that had to drive so far to bring the kiddos up here! ( A lot of her friends live about 30 miles south of us, or more!)

When the kids all arrived they all sort of sat around not really doing much, I haven't had a lot of experience with gathering games, and that sort of stuff. But we passed around the bowl of Double Bubble gum, told them to chew away, and we would see who could blow the biggest bubbles!
Talk about fun.. they complained a bit at first about the gum being hard.. (well it is "original double bubble" the package said, maybe it IS from the 50's HE HE HE!)
Then the fun really started - Big bubbles, and popped ones all over their faces. I was laughing so hard I missed a few quality photo ops!
After the gum, we decided to go outside and LIMBO!!
We sat up the jukebox on the patio, had great music flowing, and Daryl and our son Michael were the limbo stick holders (Boy Scout walking stick came in handy for this!) The kids were hilarious, as the guys lowered the stick, the way they got under it got more and more creative... I think towards the last bit, many of them were just sort of crawling under.
Then we came in, they all got drinks, chips, relaxed a bit, then back outside for dancing, music, playing around -- They tried a conga line - That was funny to watch. Then the girls tried to have a "dance off" but the boys weren't buying it.. so they all just danced around, (except the guys, they sort of watched, talked and laughed at the girls)
We came in, had cake, sundaes, soda, they took it outside to eat, then a little bit later Rebecca did her gifts.. Then BACK outside to hang out..

What a fun night.. I think it was one of her best attended parties we have thrown, and they even seemed to enjoy the cake I made!!!
